Technical Management
Technical Management encompasses all of the services that maximize the operational efficiency and physical condition of a vessel throughout its working life in compliance with the requirements of industry regulators, our ship owning customers and our customers' customers. These services include the supervision of dry dockings and major repairs, purchasing, vessel inspection and budget control.
Service delivery is underpinned by a rigorous approach to safety, security and environmental protection.
V.Ships is the Group's primary brand for technical management with staff ashore and at sea offering expertise and experience for most cargo vessel types through a global network of offices. V.Ships’ proprietary VMS ensures that high operating standards are maintained on managed vessels. Service delivery is managed through the use of V.Ships’ integrated information management system, ShipSure.
For chemical carriers, the Group-owned ITM offers specialist expertise (www.tankermanager.com).
For FSOs/FPSOs and other offshore assets, services are provided through V.Ships Offshore. This company works with other Group companies to package services that support or manage the marine operations function.
Passenger vessels are technically managed for the deck & engine and hotel departments for cruise ships and ferries by V.Ships Leisure (www.vshipsleisure.com), and for super yachts by Fraser Yachts (www.fraseryachts.com)
